The Society of Saint Vincent de Paul is an international organization of Catholic lay volunteers who make home visits to the suffering and needy in the community in order to provide what assistance and relief they can in the spirit of love, justice, and charity. In addition, the Society has need for volunteers in other Ministries: Kitchen and Dining Rooms, Ozanam Manor, Medical and Dental Clinic, Food Reclamation, Special Ministries to the Homeless, Stranded Travelers, the Incarcerated and their families, those in need of durable medical equipment, and the Thrift Stores. There is a commitment of one morning or afternoon per week or month, depending on the type of service for which you volunteer. If you volunteer for home visits at the Parish Conference, you also need to attend a weekly Monday evening meeting. On-the-job training and timely workshops are offered to enable those who wish to serve to maximize their efforts when visiting our clients.
